An original watercolour painting heightened with body colour by the British artist Rose Douglas (fl.1893-1898). The scene depicts a couple walking by a lakeside, heading home together after a laborious day in the fields. The watercolour has been signed and inscribed to the lower left. Well-presented in a simple gilt-effect frame. On paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and dirtying to the paper. The wash-line mount is also discoloured and there is some light wear to the frame.
