Painter in oil and watercolour, born in Camberwell, London. He studied art at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts, Southampton Row School of Design, Goldsmiths' College and at Reading University. Burroughs showed at the Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers, Royal Cambrian Academy and Paris Salon, where he won a silver medal in 1973. Burroughs died at Shinfield near Reading, Berkshire.
