Description

A delicate late-nineteenth century still life study in watercolour by Pauline Walker. The composition depicts a blue and white china vase of flowers, their stems beginning to droop and their petals losing their vibrant colour. The arrangement is set against a foliate wallpaper, the vitality of which contrasts with the decaying bouquet. Signed to the lower left. Well presented in a gilt frame. On paper.

Condition

Overall the condition is very good for a picture of this age. Slight discolouration. Light wear to the frame.
