Two mid 20th century posters advertising for the 'Grand Opera Season', at the Sadler's Wells Theatre, London. This wonderful piece of British History celebrates the end of World War II, victory in Europe was declared on May 5th 1945 however the celebrations lasted for months, long after the initial declaration. Both prints are identical, one is slightly more faded, however they are a fine example of mid 20th century graphic design. A watercolour study is visible on the reverse of one print (as seen in photos). Unsigned. On wove.
