A striking highland landscape in oil from the late 19th Century. The scene shows a mountain peak, covered in heather and grasses with a stream running over rocks in the centre. The artist has signed to the lower right corner and the painting has been presented in a 19th Century gilt frame. On canvas.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a very small area of abrasion to the paint at the centre of the painting and an area of loss at the lower right. The frame has some losses, tarnishing and scuffing to the surface and some splitting at the internal corners.
