Description
A delightful study of a snow covered path in Braiseworth, Suffolk as inscribed on the reverse. Milner's use of subtle blue tones and painterly brushstrokes visualises the atmosphere of Suffolk farm land during winter. Well presented in a washline mount and simple wooden frame. Signed. On wove.Condition
There is some discolouration to the mount. Overall the appearance is very good.

Artist Biography
Painter and designer born Thomas Stuart Milner at Leyton, east London. He attended the Central School of Arts & Crafts and Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art, 1926–29. Milner exhibited at the RA, Royal Cambrian Academy, RSA, RHA, RBA, RI and at the Paris Salon. He was elected RBA in 1929, lived in Woodford Green and was a member of the Essex Art Club. Milner held several one man shows in Norwich where, as Stuart Milner he was a member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1963-1968. Northampton Museum and Art Gallery hold his work.
