A crisp restrike engraving from Landseer's original plates. The original hunting scene was drawn by Charles D'Oyly, and depicts gentlemen hunting a tiger from the safe heights of an elephant's back.
The artwork is signed and inscribed on the plate, and the wove shows strong vertical plate lines. The horizontal plate lines are assumed to be hidden by the mount.
Well presented in a thin wood frame with a gilded inner window, a mount board, and glazing.
