Description

A far-reaching view of the landscape at Anglesey, Wales. This painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1926. Presented glazed in a washline mount and gilt-effect wooden frame. Signed to the lower-right edge. Artist's label to the reverse, including the title. Attached to the reverse are newspaper clippings of the artist's obituaries. On watercolour paper.

Condition

Some foxing and discolouration, including to the mount. Some small scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography

Hainsworth was a painter and etcher, born Halifax, Yorkshire, who attended Halifax Technical College. He is recorded as having shown at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, and RA.
