Description

A rural river landscape featuring a man fishing to the right of the composition and cows grazing in the distance. Presented in a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. Signed to the lower-left edge. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

The canvas has been relined. Inspection under UV light reveals an area of restoration above the signature at the lower-left edge. There is some mild surface dirt and discolouration to the varnish.
