Engraved after Raphael's original 1515 series of painted designs for tapestries, 'The Raphael Cartoons', commissioned by Pope Leo X for the Sistine Chapel. Printed onto Indian paper backed onto laid paper. On laid. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, foxing, age toning- the worst of this is to the sheet margins, not the main image. Minor creases to the sheet edges.
