A delightful Mid 20th Century piece depicting a beached fishing boat in a small bay. Across the water the artist shows a mountainous landscape in simple forms. The foreground is captured in a warmer colour palette, with shadows cast behind the fishing boat from the late afternoon sun. Signed and dated to the lower left. Presented in a white painted wooden frame. On canvas board.
Condition
There are some small surface marks to the left hand side of the painting. The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
