A substantial oil painting depicting the Assumption of Mary. Presented in a highly ornate gilt-effect wooden frame with floral, scallop shell, and acanthus leaf moulding. Signed indistinctly to the lower-right edge. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There is some mild surface dirt, discolouration to the varnish, and a slight horizontal crease to the canvas at the centre. Overall in very good condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
