A delightful depiction of a forest path in Autumn, with gum Arabic. Interestingly feedback has been written on the back by popular Victorian artist William Wardlaw Laing (c.1873-1928). Laing decides 'the trunks and branches are very well drawn'. With a monogram pasted to the reverse. Titled and inscribed 'no.2 from nature' by the artist. Unsigned. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is mount burn to the edges of the page and pin hole marks at the corners.
