A beautiful landscape in oil showing the expansive, rolling hills of the Antony Estate in Cornwall. The artist has captured the moment of sacred stillness one feels when encountering a deer in the wild. The painting is signed in the lower right corner and presented on canvas over stretchers. The artist has inscribed the reverse with the location. On canvas.

Condition

There is a white mark in the lower left corner and right edge but the painting is in otherwise, fine condition.

Artist Biography

Born 30-11-1943, Oldham Lancashire. Moved to Syke near Rochdale 1958. Attended Rochdale college of Art 1958-62. Attended St Martins School of Art 1962-3. Moved to Plymouth January 1965 to be near ships and the sea. Married October 1965. Worked in Devonport Dockyard 1967-86. very near to ships, able to crawl all over them. Lost sight of right eye 10.20 a.m. Thursday 17th January 1974 in an industrial accident. Moved to Torpoint in May 1976.
