Spanish School 18th Century Oil - Portrait of a Saint

Description

A naive depiction of a Saint clutching a cross to his chest as he gazes towards the heavens. Well presented in a simple gilt effect frame. Signed with initials in the upper left-hand corner. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

Heavy craquelure with scattered flakes of paint loss. Minor marks and scuffs, as well as surface dirt. The canvas has been relined. Slight widening to the frame joints. Marks and scuffs to the frame.
