A spectacular charcoal depiction of the impressive interior of Bath abbey. The artist has captured the vaulted ceilings and darkened tombs with wonderful ease in a notoriously tricky medium to work with. The drawing has been presented in a fine silvered frame with card mount and silver inner window. The artist's studio label is at the reverse which the artist has inscribed with location. Artist Biography
Simon Hodges PS, n. Landscape and townscape painter; architect (no longer practicing professionally); married; live and work in Larkhall on the eastern side of Bath; works in charcoal, pastel, watercolour, acrylic and oil from en pleine sketches used for finished studio work. Member of The Pastel Society and invited artist at various other locations.
