A spectacular charcoal depiction of the impressive interior of Bath abbey. The artist has captured the vaulted ceilings and darkened tombs with wonderful ease in a notoriously tricky medium to work with. Simon Hodges PS, n. Landscape and townscape painter; architect (no longer practicing professionally); married; live and work in Larkhall on the eastern side of Bath; works in charcoal, pastel, watercolour, acrylic and oil from en pleine sketches used for finished studio work. Member of The Pastel Society and invited artist at various other locations.
