MacMILLAN Sheila Painter, born in Glasgow, who after attending Glasgow University became a qualified teacher. Later she studied painting with her uncle Ian Macnab and began to exhibit during the 1970’s. She is a member of the SSA and has exhibited with them and at the RGI and RSA. She has also exhibited at the SSWA where she was awarded the Anne Redpath and Lily McDougall Awards. She has exhibited also at the Kingfisher Gallery, Edinburgh, the Macaulay Gallery, East Lothian, the Ancrum Gallery, Roxburgh and at the Atholl Gallery in Dunkeld. Her work is in the Collins Gallery, Strathclyde University collection.
