A striking mixed media work by Dutch artist Sam van Beek (1878-1957), rendered with expressive application of graphite and pastel. The view looks across from Damrak towards the Guldehandsteeg in Amsterdam. Signed to the lower right. Well presented in a washed white frame with a mushroom mount. On paper.

Condition

Discolouration and foxing to the paper. Marks and scuffs to the frame. Overall the work remains in good condition.
