Artist Biography
Sally Gaywood was born in Chester and from a very early age showed a natural aptitude for painting. She became a pupil of the late Robert Goodwin, the marine and portrait painter and studied with him in his Chelsea studio. Over the years she has undertaken a number of important commissions including 6 views of the Royal farms at Windsor. These are now part of HM the Queen's Royal Collection. She has worked for the British Army on an aspect of the Gulf war for R.E.M.E. Two paintings for the British Horse Society and a panoramic view of London with St. Paul's Cathedral for the C.E.G.B. Her work shows great depth and feeling for the English Landscape, in particular Dartmoor in its many moods.
