Description

A pair of detailed graphite drawings by the artist Ruth Cobb. One depicts the archway entrance to the abbey, and the other the "Long John" abbey tower, with figures walking in the street. Both drawings are signed and dated to the lower right. The titles are inscribed on the lower margins of the backing card. The top edge of the drawings have been fixed down to backing card. Signed and dated. On wove.

Condition

The drawing of the abbey has yellow discolouration to several areas, as shown. The second street scene picture is discoloured to the edges. Yellowing and remnants of tape to the backing card on both.
