Artist Biography

paint in watercolour of landscapes and coastal scenes who was born at Wellington, Somerset, in 1881. He does not appear to have exhibited widely, but may have shown nine works at Elands Art Gallery, Exeter in 1906 and 1907 under the name of Robert Southey. The subjects were typical including 'The Coast near Bude, Cornwall' and 'Dartmoor, High Tor'. The work is of good quality and the West Country locations make the pictures popular.
