The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Minor marks to the frame.

Artist Biography
paint and museum curator who attended Brighton School of Art where he studied under Louis Ginnett and at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art studying under with Harry Watson. In 1933 he was appointed curator of Dudley Art Gallery, and became a founder member of the Dudley Art Circle. He showed at the RA, RBSA, RWS and NEAC and examples of his work are in the collections of Dudley Art Gallery and nearby Kidderminster Art Gallery.
