Artist Biography
Ronnie Landfield was born on The Bronx, New York in 1947. He studied at the Kansas City art Institute, the San Francisco Art Institute and the Arts Students League in New York. In 1969 his abstract work caught the attention of David Whitney Gallery where he held some of his first exhibitions.
Over his career, Landfield has held more than sixty-five solo exhibitions and nearly two hundred group exhibitions. In 2007 a retrospective exhibition exploring five decades of his paintings was held at the Butler Institute of American Art.
