The artist has signed to the lower right and the painting has been presented in a 20th Century gilt frame with linen slip. The artist has signed, inscribed and dated at the reverse. Artist Biography
Marine paint, born in Dover, Kent. After Clifton College he was 37 years in the Royal Navy, which gave his pictures great authenticity. Was elected to RSMA in 1983, also showing with Wapping Group of Artists and Armed Forces’ Art Society. Royal Naval Lifeboat Institution and Yarrow Shipbuilders hold examples. Lived in Snape, Suffolk.
