Description

A fine early 20th century coloured etching depicting the impressive Star Inn, located in Alfriston, Essex Sussex. Herdman has captured many of the building's characterful details, including its heavy 14th century timber façade and graceful Oriel windows. A shepherd can be seen herding his small flock along the quiet high street in front of the Inn. The print is signed and inscribed in graphite to the lower edge. Presented in a slate grey mount.

On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are a few small marks to the contemporary mount.
