Robert Forrester - Original Mid 20th Century Watercolour. From a large collection of drawings and paintings by Robert Forrester. Inscribed on the reverse.There is a closed 5cm tear extending down from the upper edge and a fold crease along the central axis. Some discolouration.

Born in Carlisle, Robert Forrester (1913–1988) was untrained in the arts. He worked in the design department of Hudson and Scott, Metal Box Co., illustrating biscuit boxes and designing Christmas Cards. Forrester also exhibited artworks outwith his work with Hudson and Scott. His works are held in public collections including the Tuille House Museum in Carlisle.
