Richard Gibbs Henry Toovey R.E (1861-1927) - Original Late 19th Century Etching. Etching with drypoint, monogrammed in the plate to the upper left. Monogrammed in Plate.On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, trimmed within the plate margins. A few very light foxing spots to the left hand side.

Richard Gibbs Henry Toovey studied at thye Academie Julian, Paris and the Birmingham School of Art, producing landscapes and scenes of fishing life in watercolours and etching. He was elected to the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers (R.E) in 1885.
