A fine contemporary watercolour of Cockley Beck cottage in the beautiful fells of seathwaite Cumbria. The river Duddon can be seen travelling through the front of the scene, under a charming stone bridge. The watercolour has been well-presented in a triple card mount and silver coloured frame. Signed to the lower left. With a detailed artist inscription verso. On paper.Condition
Some minor wear to the contemporary frame and a single scuff visible on the white card mount.

Artist Biography
Born in 1945, Martin moved to the Lake District with his family when he was thirteen. On leaving Art College he spent some years teaching at Brathay Hall Outward Bound Centre on the shores of Windermere. He then went on to run his own Gallery and Art Shop with his wife in Ambleside. For many years now he has worked as a full time professional artist.
