A charming watercolour study, painted in the delicate style of French artist Simeon Fort (1793-1861). Fishing for his lunch, a gentleman can be seen over stretching on the river bank, in desperate of a catch. The watercolour has been left unsigned. Well presented in a solid oak frame. On paper.
Condition
Several areas of paint loss visible on the surface of the watercolour, particularly across the lower third. The picture frame and mount are in fine condition.
