A vibrant and crisply painted Indian portrait of a finely dressed nobleman with bright orange turban and several sheathed scimitars at his belt. The painting has been signed in Punjabi on the reverse. The painting has been presented with a red wove border. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a torn crease, stabilised by the backing wove, across the upper third. There is some wear to the edges of the red border and some wear to the upper right corner of the image. There is a tear from the lower left corner of the border, into the lower left corner of the image.
