Her paintings mainly depicted local landscapes and coastal scenes. She painted for her own satisfaction rather than for public display and so her work is not well known; most of it is in private collections, although Southampton Art Gallery has two landscapes. One of her paintings, part of the Lankester Collection destroyed during World War Two, was the subject of a ‘Townsman’ article in the Daily Echoand reproduced in Southampton Occasional Notes.
