An exquisite early Victorian era miniature portrait of an elegant young lady. She is wearing a luxurious blue taffeta and pink chiffon dress in a style that was at the height of fashion in the 1830s. Her dark, glossy hair is styled in a fashionable chignon with ringlets and her cheeks have a gentle flush. The artist has rendered the portrait in exquisite detail, particularly in the young lady's hair, using the minuscule brush strokes typical of this era of miniature portraiture.
