Artist Biography
Painter and etcher born at Camberley, Surrey. Ann Le Bas as she is known was educated at West Heath School, Sevenoaks and at the City and Guilds of London Art School, 1946-48, where she studied under Middleton Todd, Rodney Burn and Henry Wilkinson. An exhibitor at the RA since 1945 she also showed with the RE and NEAC of which she was an elected member and with the LG and RBA. A member of the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen her work is in the collection of GAC, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter and in the Ashmolean, Oxford. She was an elected member of the Art Workers' Guild and is unrelated to the artistic Le Bas family.
