Soft, muted colours create a sense of warmth, while loose brushstrokes convey the energy of the scene. The artist masterfully balances architectural detail with the lively depiction of townspeople, offering viewers a captivating glimpse into a bygone era. The oil has been well presented in a gilt-effect frame with elaborate c-scrolling and acanthus ornamentation. Signed by the artist to the lower right. On canvas on stretchers.
