A delightful watercolour (with gouache) by the artist Philip Augustus Barnard (1812-1897) depicting Harriet and Maria Fraser with their Italian greyhound. Signed to the lower right. Wonderfully presented in a gilt frame with beading and a gilt-detailed cream mount. Provenance: Chris Beetles Ltd, London. From the estate of the late David Pike, sold to benefit the Art Fund.
