Peter Toms was born in 1940 and has been painting on a full-time basis since 1982, after pursuing a highly successful career in engineering. After twenty years working in the industry, where he was involved with many varied aspects of research and design, both at home and abroad, a lifelong consuming interest in art led to him embarking in a new direction as a painter. His paintings have been regularly accepted for major London Exhibitions such as the RI, RBA, RMS and RSMA, Britain’s Painters and World of Watercolours. Peter exhibits with many leading London and provincial galleries as well as in France, Portugal and Belgium. Many of his works exist in private and corporate collections worldwide.
