An ornate gilt case picture frame complete with original water gilded mount and decorative floral and acanthus mouldings. Elegantly lined with velvet.
Measurements for the frame are :
Inner window: 19.5cm x 15cm, outer frame size: 36.5cm x 31.5cm, rebate: 25.5cm x 20.5cm.
Stable cracking can be seen to the running pattern and gilt mouldings. The wooden case is in very good condition with no splitting. The velvet lining has unfortunately discoloured due to light exposure, and there are several areas of moth damage to the reverse of the frame.
