There are some very deep cracks to the varnish, although these have been stabilised. There are some deep cracks in the centre that reveal some of the canvas behind. With some light abrasions where the picture has sat against the frame and a 5 mm loss to the paint in the lower right corner. There is discolouration typical for a picture of this age. Inspection under UV light does not reveal any over-painting. The frame joins are parting slightly and there gilt slip is discoloured, as shown in photos.`
