Although Noel Harry Leaver (1889–1951) is best known for his North African views, here he turns his attention to the bucolic serenity of the English countryside. A quaint village spreads across rolling grassy hills, while the tower of the village church emerges over the trees. The work is signed to the lower left, and is well presented in a gilt frame. Signs of wear consistent with age, including discolouration and light foxing to the paper. Light scuffing to the corners of the frame. Overall, the artwork is in good condition for its age.
