A very fine early 19th century study of a classical head. The artist has wonderfully captured the subject with crosshatched lines and a delicate but precise handling of the medium. The study is excellently presented in a green card mount and gilt effect frame. Unsigned. On laid.Condition
In remarkable condition for a picture of this age, with some light surface Marks and creasing, mainly to the upper right corner and left side. There is a closed tear to the upper right. The frame is in fine condition.
