Mrs Henry Baines - Original 19th Century Pen and Ink Drawing. A humorous scene of high society, with a lady hiding her suitor behind her skirts when interrupted by her elderly mother. Inscribed along the lower edge, fixed to backing paper. Inscribed. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Areas of surface dirt and marks.

Mrs Henry Baines (nee Emily Jane Pease) was married to Henry Baines, son of Hewley Mortimer Baines and Mary Harrison. He was a captain in the East Yorkshire militia.
