Description
A charming miniature graphite drawing of the remains of Hastings Castle. Depicted in this scene is a row of cottages set in the hill side. A gentleman figure seems to have a shotgun pointed with his working dog sat beside him. Four sheep can be seen grazing the lower field of the castle fort. Inscribed to the reverse of the drawing, visible through the glazed back opening. Presented in a handsome deep set gilt frame, well patinated, with rose mouldings. Glazed. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. There is considerable wear and tear to the frame to include paint losses and chips all over.
