A charming miniature view of cottages, including Glen Rosie Cottage, on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Unsigned. There is an original inscription on the reverse of the watercolour with the date and title. A later inscription on the reverse attributes the painting to William Dyce FRSE RSA RA (1806-1864), however he is not believed to have visited the Isle of Arran until 1856. On watercolour paper.
Condition
There is some slight discolouration but overall in good condition.
