Description

A charming scene depicting a boy grazing his goat on the outskirts of a European village. This folk piece is captured in a naive style, using simple forms to show the winding country path and summer trees. Unsigned. On panel.

Condition

There is craquelure and surface dirt giving areas of the painting a discoloured appearance. There are some small areas of paint loss, particularly to the outer edges of the panel where there is some wear. There is a dent to the centre of the board.
