Margaret Levinson comes from a talented artistic family, her maternal and paternal grandfathers were both artists mainly as sculptors, which is Margaret's first love. She trained at the Bournemouth School of Art specialising in sculpture. As her career advanced she became very interested in etching and produced many prints over a long career. Her favourite subject is Venice, a city both she and her husband loved. She found a gallery in Venice, which has sold her work for many years. Margaret has exhibited at a number of galleries in the UK and abroad. One of the drawings in our collection has a label affixed to the reverse which states she was a member of the National Society of Painters, Sculptors & Printmakers (AMNS). She died in September 2018.
