She is surrounded by ornate borders, typical of the era, filled with fawns, forest deities, goats and flowers. The artist's name is inscribed in plate at the lower right corner.

The engraving has been presented in a contemporary gilt effect frame with beaded molding and a think card mount.

On pulp wove.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. There is a 4cm tear at the lower right corner. The original plate lines are in tact.
