Description
A charming study of a determined looking woman seated on a bench surrounded by woven baskets. The artist depicts her on a street lined with tall continental buildings on a summer's day. Painted in a style influenced by 18th century artist William Hogarth. Unsigned. On canvas.Condition
The painting has been relined. The varnish of the paint is discoloured and the surface of the painting is subject to craquelure. There is a small area of paint loss to the upper left corner and there is wear to the edges of the canvas.
