A nostalgic Victorian watercolour in the manner of Myles Birket Foster RWS (1825–1899). The scene shows two young children playing lazily in the doorway of a red brick barn. One holds a piece of string for a little black kitten that is hiding under the other child's arm.
The painting is unsigned and presented in a contemporary, ornate gilt effect frame with glazing and a simple wash-line mount.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The frame is in fine condition.
