Description

A charming scene depicting a man and child in a row boat. The toddler places their hands on the ores to help the older gentleman to row. The scene plays on Emile Renouf's 1881 painting 'La Main Tendue' which depicts a similar subject. Unsigned. On canvas.

Condition

There is some discolouration to the varnish giving a slight yellowing effect. The has been a canvas repair and some light restoration.
