Mabel Honorine Margaret Withers (1870-1956) was a painter, born in London, who studied at the Royal College of Art and exhibited at the RA and Society of Women Artists. She moved to South Africa in 1910 soon becoming a member of the South African Society of Arts. A great traveller, she visited Australia for five years until 1920 and also travelled to Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Cyprus, Mauritius, New Zealand, and extensively throughout the African Continent. She is represented in the National Museum, Bloemfontein.
